Changing an Employee's User Password

Use the Change Password form to change an employee’s user password. We recommend that you enter a password that you intend to be temporary, and instruct the employee to change it the next time they log in to Employee Portal (EP).

1. Verify the Username is the correct user.
2. Enter the New Password. The system validates the password; if it does not pass the validation, PrismHR informs you what you need to do to create a valid password.
3. Reenter the password in the Confirm New Password field.
4. Click Save. The next time the employee logs on, he or she will use the new password.

This resets the lockout period, if any, in cases where you are changing the password because the employee was locked out of EP due to too many failed login attempts.
